COMCAST CALL CENTER
North Charleston, SC
CLIENT: KDC Real Estate Development
We worked together with KDC Real Estate Development as project manager for BB+M Architecture to design and construct an 80,000-square-foot call center for Comcast in North Charleston, SC. Situated on a 16.5-acre site off Ingleside Boulevard, the location offers convenient access to Interstate 26 and is near Charleston Southern University, Trident Medical Center, and the bustling intersection of University Boulevard and Rivers Avenue.
The single-story structure was built using precast concrete tilt-up panels, with a design emphasizing the intersection of its two primary wings. At the front, this intersection forms a covered main entrance, while at the rear, it serves as the employee entrance, featuring an outdoor break room and seating area. Brick veneer and cedar wood accents enhance the façade, strategically breaking up its length and adding visual interest at key points along the building. The result is a thoughtfully designed project that balances functionality with a welcoming and dynamic environment for employees and visitors.
